Amid all the media post-mortem on the selection, people have been analyzing what went wrong.

With the way news outlets covered the election and the way bigoted and untrue information got

traction on social media. But some people have been shouting about those problems long before

the election. Carlos Maza is one of those people. Hi, my name is Carlos Maza and I'm a research

fellow at Media Matters for America, which is a progressive media watchdog group based in Washington,

DC. Carlos is one of the first people I saw who directly called out the way mainstream news outlets
