Now the reason, as best as I can figure, that there is a fundamental breakdown when libertarians

try to debate basically anyone else is that most libertarians tend to place a higher value on

adherence to their philosophy than to the real world results of implementing that philosophy.

All of their arguments flow from the fact that they have already decided what the answer is

because they have to adhere to their philosophy and so then they just have to contort themselves

into knots to try to make reality fit into their philosophy rather than going the other way around

like most normal people. It's actually very much like someone who legislates by their religion.
