I never thought grocery shopping would be this hard.

I woke up early this morning.

Well, let me backtrack.

I went to Trader Joe's yesterday, the one on Hyde

Street in San Francisco. I walked there. It's about a 10-minute walk to my place. I walked there

last afternoon. The line is around the corner, completely around the corner, wraps around

another building.

I mean, it was an entire block.

The line was an entire block, and I just, I walked right by it, and I was like, I'll just go tomorrow.

So I woke up early this morning, and I haven't been waking up very early lately, but I woke

up early this morning to get there by 9 a.m., to make sure that I was there when the doors opened. And by the time I got there,

I was a couple minutes late after 9 o'clock, but by the time I got there, the line was not only as long,

but longer than it was yesterday. Trader Joe's on Hyde Street. The line went all the way. I went to the,

back of the line, and I stood there for about, I don't know, three minutes on the corner of Larkin and Pine Street.

And a completely different block is where the line ended up.

It was on a different street, this line to get into Trader Joe's. And look, I know why Trader Joe's doing it.

And I think it's a great idea. You keep people in a line. And the line, by the way, is expanded because

everybody's, you know, standing six to eight feet away from each other. So if people were

standing in a normal distance, the line wouldn't be nearly as long. But still, it is a long line.

And I stood there and I was like, I can't do this. I've, I don't really have all that much

to do this morning, but I just, out of principle, won't stand in this line for however long it's

going to take. I have no idea how long it's going to take. So I walked away. I left again, and now I need...
