But this has been a whole lot of fun to do and it's been great to make a transformation that you and I talked about for a long time and I don't know that it could have gone much better.

So just wanted to start this off by thanking people for the listen, thanking people for social media mentions,

thanking people for the iTunes reviews. Those things are hard to exactly explain

how important they are, but it's just been a great little switchover and

real excited to have tonight's conversation but also real

excited as to how this carries over into the season.

serial wars get its name for the readers out there or for the potential

readers obviously who don't know.

Why did they name it serial wars?

Yeah, it's a good question.

It's probably something that I should have addressed outside

of being dependent on you mentioning, Bud, but it's in the very early part of the 1980s,

the US Federal Trade Commission looked what were kind of known as shared monopolies or various industries that I guess lacked what they thought was sufficient competition.

And the first test of this shared monopoly.

The first testing of these powers

was in the serial industry.

Very interesting to see how it would play out.
