It is getting really difficult to ignore that Obamacare is working very well, and I'll walk

0:36.4

you through the recent data on this. Earlier this week, Gallup put out the newest data we have on

0:41.8

the Uninsured Rate, and they found not surprisingly that states that have embraced the Affordable

0:46.8

Care Act have seen the largest drops in the number of residents going without health care.

0:51.8

This is obvious, right, Lewis? If you pass a law mandating people be insured,

0:56.4

the number of people that are uninsured will drop. This is not really a controversial or

1:00.8

surprising element of it. No, the controversial aspect of it is the mandate itself, but you know,

1:07.2

that's another separate issue. So the more interesting data to look at is whether we are also seeing

1:14.6

health care delivery happening in a better way, and are we seeing the dire predictions that were

1:21.2

attached to the Affordable Care Act come true or not? So several recent studies show that

1:28.2

none of the bad predictions from Republicans to put it in a simple way are coming true.

1:43.2

doctors and medication. Since the law took effect, more people say they have a primary care

1:48.8

physician and fewer people say they are struggling to afford their care. This is different than

1:54.6

just having care. So yeah, you pass a law saying people have to have some kind of health insurance

1:59.5

on paper. You're going to reduce the number of people that are uninsured, but having access to care,

2:05.2

saying I don't have a problem affording care, saying I now have a primary care physician,
