Serrat last night and Friday night of course sitting in hosting coast to coast and last night I happened

to mention being a conuck of a certain age and I remember in public school going

back to let's say 1971 echo place public school going back to let's say 1971 Echo Place Public School in

Brantford and of course before the school day would be would begin we would sing

God Save the Queen in school in In fact, I don't think oh Canada became our official

National Anthem until I want to say about 1980. Anyway, we only sang the first verse, as far as I can remember, God save our gracious

Queen, long live our noble Queen, God save the Queen, a sender victorious,

happy and glorious, long to reign over us, God save the Queen.

That's all there was.

And I didn't realize until recently there are other verses.

And the second one, which I've just discovered, and the fourth, I found this very interesting,

and it's rather fitting given the subject matter that we discuss on this program.
