I tend to believe that the general public is never well informed and never has been.

You have to hit them over the head with a sledgehammer to get their attention.

The great journalists of the 1950s like Murrow and Elmer Davis and whatnot were very good

at that, reminding them that listen, you need to be tough, you need to be brave and you

need to be willing to suffer some casualties as the cost of freedom if you want to maintain

these rights.

It's too scared and if you start demanding too much security from the people whose job

it is to provide security, they'll give it to you, but it will come at the cost of the

things that can only be sustained if you're braver.

The website, by the way, was kind of interesting.

I didn't go totally granular on it, so it might be more extreme than I know, but it looked

very interesting to me.
