| 2:38.0 | My intro economics class was taught by a guy named Martin Feldstein, who had been Ronald Reagan's chief economics advisor. |

| 2:46.0 | Actually, what got me hooked was arguing with him. |
| 2:48.0 | Anyway, he argued against raising the minimum wage and he's done that for decades. |
| 2:52.0 | He makes the classic argument that a higher minimum wage is a terrible idea because it inevitably reduces employment. |
| 2:57.0 | It is literally the textbook example of how well-intentioned government policy can make everyone worse off. |
