And I'm delighted to be spending my 50th birthday with you. Wow how did that happen? I was out hoisting a

few cups of cheer with some good friends of mine and my brother David last night

at the Miller Tavern here in Toronto.

Victor Vigiani, my occasional co-host here on the program was there and

Ali Seattle Tan who's been on this program a number of times and also on the TV show, the conspiracy show, was there.

My old college chums, Dawn and Ken and Tom and Dimitri and Derek,

and this was supposed to be, it was billed as a guy's night out just to gather for a few

cups of adult beverages and and so forth and then and then the mighty Aphrodite crashes the party.

And of course she's looking resplendent as usual.

And then suddenly, of course my my buddies are getting up and leaving the

table and going over to sit with her so I'm no longer the center of attention but I

guess that's to be expected when you marry above your

station. Anyway I was thinking about something Margaret Atwood said. Not one of my favorite authors, but she said, you know, as I'm looking

around at my friends and my brother and I'm thinking everyone else my age is an adult and I'm merely in disguise

They say if you can make it to 50 without growing up then you don't have to so I think I made it

Anyway if you'll have me I'd like to continue to do this program for another 50 years.
