| 0:42.4 | First, what happened in Tunisia and how was it set off by WikiLeaks? |
| 0:46.9 | Well, there was an uprising in Tunisia and it was initially sparked by a man named |
| 0:53.4 | Mohamed Al-Bwazizi, a young Tunisian who set himself on fire and died in mid-December |
| 1:01.0 | because they had taken away his cart that he was selling and made demands of him and he |
| 1:07.1 | was desperate, etc. |
| 1:09.4 | And then that sparked a lot of protests that eventually took down the government. |
| 1:13.1 | But where did it start even before that? |
| 1:15.7 | Well, the reason that the whole country was mad and they knew they had a leader who had |
| 1:20.5 | been corrupt for 23 years. |
| 1:23.4 | But WikiLeaks revealed US cables that let us know specifically how corrupt they were and |
| 1:30.9 | what exactly they did. |
| 1:31.9 | For example, in June of 2008, the US Embassy in Tunisia or in Tunis particularly wrote |
| 1:39.0 | whether it's cash, services, land, property, or yes, even your yacht, President Zinni Al-Abidini |
