We begin with a setback for opponents of the military's Don't Ask Don't Tell policy,

which bans gays from serving openly. Senate Republicans Tuesday voted down an effort to end

the policy. Yes, we stopped their appeal in your face gays, but not in a gay way.

Unfortunately folks, unfortunately Don't Ask Don't Tell isn't going back in the closet easy.

President Obama still wants to end it. A federal court in California recently found it

unconstitutional, even the man who signed it, Bill Clinton is having second thoughts.

Turns out they gay eat, they gays salute, they gay fire an M16. It's like they got a gay

everything up. Can I say there is a simple way to satisfy gay soldiers who want to serve openly

and those who don't want openly gay soldiers to serve and it brings us to tonight's word.

Army of Mum. When General Colin Powell convinced Bill Clinton to adopt Don't Ask Don't Tell,

he said that the military would not seek out gay soldiers so long as they don't flaunt their

sexuality. But opponents point to cases like dismissed Iraq war vet Major Mike Almy. For him,

the policy turned out to be Don't Ask, just read private emails, find evidence of homosexuality,

order an official investigation, relieve of duty, terminate pay, forcefully escort off base,

and Don't Tell. So I can see why people might want to repeal it. Thankfully,

Crimean war veteran John McCain called me explain last week that it didn't happen.
