Hey James, that guest is is is really one of the foremost experts on national security, foreign affairs, everything else.

Bill Cohen, a three term Republican Senator from Maine Defense Secretary and the President Clinton continues to be deeply involved and foreign and national security matters.

Mr. Secretary, thanks for being with us as you look at the Trump indictment and you look at some of the classified documents that he kept and then tried to keep.

Even without specificity, we know the general topics. How big a concern?

A big concern.

Anytime you have information or intelligence that is marked top secret or compartmental intelligence, that tells you that any for disclosure to unauthorize people puts our country in danger.

So it's we entrust these to the highest officials on our government. In the word is trust to entrust meaning that we trust the person at the top of the chain, the commander in chief to make sure he takes.

And fulfills his duty full faith and credit to the Constitution to make sure that that information protected so it means that our security can be compromised by adversaries gaining access to information we have collected on our own, either through human intelligence or spies so to speak.

Or through national technical means which are satellites, other remote capabilities.

And so there are people who are gathering this information who are in danger. There are men and women wearing our uniform who are in danger if that information is compromised.

So anyone who has access to that information must take care.

The highest degree of care to make sure that unauthorized eyes don't see the information and the information doesn't fall into the hands of unauthorized people.
