The Barrio Nazi is a reference to Pedro Gonzalez's Twitter description.

It's evidently something that has been thrown at him from time to time.

Barrio or Barrio because he is a Mexican American and Nazi because he holds pretty right-wing

views but is very very popular online. As many of you know I see myself as a centrist or a moderate and online I'm often insulted as such

you know centrist dad despite having no children as as yet or enlightened centrist which I suppose

suggests that people in the middle are arrogant or know it

alls or whatever, and I suppose we should take those, you know, you've got to take the stuff

that's thrown at you.

I mean I hold that I'll talk to people on all sides of the political spectrum and try to find

agreement and understanding as much as possible with whoever I'm talking to, while also just

politely trying to push back from time to time.

In a recent episode for example about the proud boys

with the left-wing activist called Andy Campbell,

I pushed back quite a lot on some of the assumptions I think he made about the right.

Today I do the same with Pedro Gonzalez, whose views are a little too far to the right for me.

This interview was actually recorded on the Sean Atwood show a couple of months ago,

but even today as I write this, I can see

on Pedro's Twitter that he's just told a woke left-wing Pakistani American called

Kassim Rashid to quote, go back to Pakistan. Now I probably also find

Kassim's views frustrating or difficult to annoying but I think it's a pretty

abhorrent way to debate somebody to tell them to go back to their country or whatever it might be

even if Pedro Gonzalez probably feels entitled to do so coming from another country himself

...
