As we have made 200 episodes of my true crime report, I thought this would be a good time to look back at some of my most popular and

controversial episodes. I'm recording this on the day of the 29th anniversary of the murder of Stevie Branch, Chris Byers, and Michael Moore, three eight-year-old boys murdered in West Memphis, Arkansas in 1993.

Their killers, three teenagers, Damien Echols, Jason Baldwin, and Jesse Miss Kelly became a cause

celebrity, after the release of the HBO documentary Paradise Lost.

So popular was Joe Berlinger and Bruce Sinovsky's documentary that the pair made two sequels, and Amy Berg made

a fourth. An estimated $10 to $20 million was spent by the child killers advocates, getting

them released. Celebrities Eddie Vedder, Johnny Depp, Natalie Mains, Marilyn Manson, and Peter Jackson, just to name a few,

lent their public support and opened their wallets to get them released.
