| 0:55.0 | And in comparison, the annual death toll for the flu is usually a fraction of that. |
| 1:00.0 | The CDC says the flu kills between 12,000 and 61,000 Americans each year. |
| 1:05.2 | As for COVID-19, the US passed the 200,000 mark less than seven months after the first |

| 1:12.1 | Sadly, an average of about 800 more Americans |
