And we are going to zoom out from the present day and take a trip down memory lane. Believe it or not, it is the 15-year anniversary of the 2009 championship, which for my money is the most underrated

of the six Lakers titles since the year 2000, one of my favorite teams. And to help us do that,

we have a special guest. He was the owner of an excellent mid-range jump shot, always reliable

when his number was called, ran the floor in transition well, mixed it up on the boards,

really helped that team just have a really dominant group of bigs. It is very much our honor to

have Josh Powell joining us today. Josh, thank you so much for joining the show.

Josh Powell well you know people sometimes ask me questions about those old teams and this is

when I first started covering the team my first year was 2008 and I was I think 26 years old

not too far away from Josh Powell's age.

And people will ask me kind of what are some of your favorite memories of that team?

Who is your favorite guy?

Who's your favorite guy to talk to?

And people that know me, such as Pete, know that Josh Powell was my favorite guy from that team.

And or Josh people that were longtime listeners or old time listeners to J.ies' playlist back on the day on lakers.com, which is a podcast that I don't even know how many episodes we did, maybe, you know, maybe like 10, including the hip-hop draft with Shannon Brown that I won handily.
