My childhood hero was Ross Rollerball Peterson.

He's a great Canadian motocrosser who got a lot of really good results in the USA.

And because he was the guy we saw every year when the Nationals came to town, he was our Rick Johnson or our Damon Bradshaw or whatever you want.

So I grew up hearing about Roller Ball, seeing Roll rollerball once a year, seeing them in these arena crosses across Canada,

and he would just dominate year and year out whether it was riding all three classes for a while.

Yes, our guys ran six 30-minute motos in our pro nationalsationals, and Rollerball won them all.

Then it switched to a format where there was only two classes a day, and they

alternated 125 to 15500s, then they dropped the 500s at some point.

But anyways, he was a great racer, and the training stories I got from when I first started

But always admired him from afar. But I also knew that off the track after he retired he went

through some low points in his life like a lot of motorcrossers do so this didn't know how bad it was

and i think it got pretty bad for ross anyways this podcast from 2009 i believe maybe eight, I got a hold of rollerball and got him to

agree to sit down and talk to me. He had heard of me before from talking about him so much on

RacerX Canada, so he kind of knew who I was. He said he remembered my dad, but I know if he did or not. And, uh, anyways,
