Right now, I'm talking with author David Nyward about the rise of right wing extremism and violence.

It's rooted in the hateful speech coming out of the talking heads like Rush Limbaugh and Culture,

Sean Hannity and Michael Savage. David, if I were to describe the way the American right manifest

it's hate speech, I mean we know it's on radio, talk shows, political speeches, bestselling books,

babbling blogs, you name it. In anybody who runs a foul of that, of the conservative movement,

it becomes a target. In other words, the idea of eliminationism is they don't really care

about the dialogue and my theory, my corollary that is, well fine, let's not have dialogue.

I notice when I very often ask to come on Fox News and I debate for right wingers,

if you get sucked into the idea that they're therefore debate you lose, there is no debate.

And so it's all just a matter of how, who wins the big pile?

Exactly, and it's unfortunate, but that is kind of how it is. It's not really,

it's not real television, it's not really any kind of meaningful debate,

but that is part of their eliminationism to attack the person on the other end of the camera

in a Fox debate or where it may be. And just, you're beyond the pale, you're the embodiment

of evil, you represent those crazy lunatic liberals. And if you let them do that,

they'll continue to it. If you go back at them just as hard, they back down like whipped puppies.

And it's a very interesting thing, watch it sometime. Let's go, let's go through some of these

stories. I mean, there's some of the stories that have taken place. I begin with January 21st,
