Peter Farrah is with the American Civil Rights Union, he's our General Counsel,

and we're going to talk about hate crimes legislation.

Peter, welcome to the Young Turks.

Glad to be here.

Alright, first let's explain the good people at home that might not be familiar with your group.

The American Civil Rights Union doesn't really care about all civil rights, do you?

You only care about guns and, uh, and religion.

Well, the founding document say that our purpose is to protect all the civil rights,

uh, all the rights in the Bill of Rights, and, uh, not just those that are politically correct,

or serve a particular ideology.

So, we were formed exactly with that in mind, and we want to serve all the rights,

and we feel that the ACLU does not do that, that they just, uh, they're not interested,

really, in freedom of religion, or property rights, or, uh, or second amendment rights,

they're just interested in what they think has served their liberal left-wing agenda.

Right, that's great.

Peter, I went on your website to check out the organization a little bit more,

and I saw two interesting things.

One, it seems like 80% of the sites devoted to attacking the ACLU.
