this American life and Greg Pallist is 22 years old and he got a $300 million contract from

the Pentagon to supply ammunition to Afghanistan and Iraq as a 22 year old kid getting a $300 million

contract. He's got this like Ricky Dink's office set up in Miami Beach. He's got basically no

record of working with a defense department or in weapons before and shockingly enough it turns out

that he was working with possibly some illegal arms traders. Couldn't have seen that coming. He

was buying weapons that we were spending millions of dollars to destroy because they're useless. He

bought ammunition from Albania that was made in 1950 and he's figured I'm going to send it to

Afghanistan. What difference does it make? If it blows up on him, it blows up on him. In fact,

it literally blew up in Albania. Some of the stuff he was buying killed 22 people injured 300

similar munitions area in Albania blew up from the same places that he was buying. I only tell you

that because to give you a sense of how deep that whatever you want to call it, the corruption,

the inefficiencies, the incompetence of this administration runs. Now we're not supposed to buy

any weapons from China and of course the kid, 22 year old kid from Miami Beach, he's buying

left and right from China and then he takes the container that says made in China, takes it off,

puts it in a cardboard box, sends it over to Afghanistan and all the weapons spill out of the

cardboard box because it's so cheap he didn't want to pay extra for a heavier box because it would

cost them more transportation fees. And the guy is dealing with the shadiest guys in the world

and then it turns out he's been in trouble with the law because he's alleged to have beat his

a couple of different girlfriends in Miami, right? And here's my favorite part. The guy that I'm

gonna $300 million contract from the United States government was busted for forgery just last year.

Why? He had a fake driver's license. Now why does he need a fake driver's license? Because he was
