We're joined now by Bill Busemberg, who's the executive director of the Center for Public

Integrity. He's joining us live tonight to talk about Center for Public Integrity's new

website and project, which is called the war card. It documents and organizes into a searchable,

simple online database. Hundreds of false statements made by the president, the vice president,

Condoleez Arise Donald, Rumsfeld, Colin Powell, Paul Wolfowitz, Arif Lyshire, Scott McClellan.

In the years following 9-11, it documents hundreds of false statements about Iraq, Iraq's

links to terrorism and Iraq's alleged weapons of mass destruction. These statements, of course,

were the bricks that paved the road to our invasion of Iraq in 2003. Center for Public Integrity

is a nonprofit organization that's dedicated to producing investigative journalism on issues

of public concern. Bill Busemberg, thanks so much for joining us.

Happy to do so. Good evening. First of all, I want to say congratulations on the splash with which

this report and this project have been introduced. You guys have received a ton of coverage today.

I think we're a rather substantive coverage. You've got to be happy with the way this is being

received. Yeah, there's been a tremendous response. It's hit the blogosphere clearly, but it was in

the times this morning and Yahoo number one and it's in the post on a blog tonight and there's a lot

of coverage, a lot of attention and I think it provides an important service for people that

has not existed up to now. Do you expect a political retaliation from the administration or from

supporters of the administration for having done this? I'm not sure what you mean by that exactly.

There's some criticism, of course, but it's very interesting to me that nobody, I mean we've got

in phone calls and emails and the usual sorts of things, but this is the public record.
