Summary

As President George W. Bush navigates the challenges of his first year in office, he is confronted by one of the gravest, most horrific tragedies ever to reach American shores. But Bush’s response to 9/11 puts his presidency under fire. In the wake of the United States’ invasion of Afghanistan, Bush’s decision to go to war with Iraq costs him politically, and it leads the Democrats to look for a war hero candidate to lead them through a wartime election: Massachusetts Senator John Kerry.

0:34.7	As he takes a sip of his coffee, he hears a strange muffled thud.

0:51.7	Well, I'm not sure, but it's not thunder.
0:54.5	Sound like an explosion, something.
0:57.8	Fane stops mid-sentence.
0:59.8	At the window, he sees office paper raining down from above.
1:03.4	Some of the pages are on fire.
1:05.6	He looks as colleague, startled.
1:10.4	Suddenly, fire alarm start going off in the office.
1:13.4	Fane turns to his colleague.
