Welcome to the perfume room. Today is a very special episode. This spring will mark five years of perfume room, but today marks 200 episodes. This is episode 200. So I just want to

take a minute and acknowledge this moment because this is big and this is something that we have

built together. Perfume Room has become so much bigger than a weekly podcast. All right, almost

weekly. It's monthly online gatherings and smelling

sessions through Smell Club, which is perfume rooms community book club but for scent, which has

been going on for four years this March. And there are people listening to this right now who have

been members of Smell Club since the very beginning. And you have become friends. And I know your pets. And I know

what your homes look like. And I know your perfume tastes. And when I feel like I am talking

into the ether, especially when I'm recording solo episodes, trying to talk to and with myself

for upwards of like 45 minutes, I remember that I do know who's listening. I know you.

And I am so lucky to know you.

Perfume Room has become perfume swaps, which you know what?

I will toot my horn on that one.

The perfume room swap that we did back in 2023 at Kismetilfactive was the first public perfume swap since before the

pandemic and now, or at least that I know of, and now they are a dime a dozen. They are happening all

the time all over the country and that is incredible. Perfume room is live events. It's live

recordings and shows and your hot takes and smells like love, a dating game show driven by scent, and personal scent styling.

And of course, there are the guests.
