going to tackle decluttering for a move into a new home,

sentimental attachment, messy kids' rooms, and so much more. Okay, so we're diving right into

the meat and potatoes here. It is springtime. This is the most popular time of year for a lot of people

to move into a new home or apartment. So a lot of questions have been flooding my DMs about how to

declutter before a move, how to declutter after a move. So let's go. Let's unpack this question.

So on paper, I think it makes sense to say declutter as much as you can before a move. But I find

just it doesn't always work that way. We're busy.

Sometimes we move very quickly, four to six weeks. I mean, sometimes even less for people.

I don't say that to say, don't declutter before a move, just declutter all after on the back end.

But I say sometimes we need to lower our expectations. If you know for a while you will be moving soon,

there's this like motivation, anticipation, and excitement and kind of this vision like,

oh, I'm not moving any clutter into my new beautiful home or apartment. I'm only going to take

things I use need and love. And then most people don't actually do that. And they get to that new

really down on themselves. They get frustrated. They lose motivation and they're just like, forget it. I'll
