0:14.2	And we are back with a special episode to mark the 20th anniversary of the invasion of Iraq.
0:21.1	On March 20, 2003, Ben, US plane started dropping bombs on targets in Iraq.
0:26.0	Many of those initial strikes were designed to target Saddam Hussein himself and his kids
0:31.3	and to capitate the government.
0:32.4	Obviously, that didn't work.
0:34.6	And later, US forces invaded the country and have been there basically ever since.
0:38.8	It's kind of hard to wrap your head around the fact that that was 20 years ago.
0:41.6	I know that's like an old guy comment, but I don't really like it.
0:45.3	Yeah, it doesn't.
0:46.4	It's funny.
0:46.9	I moved to DC in June of 2002, fresh out of grad school.
0:51.6	Me too.
0:52.0	I was there in 2002.
0:53.5	So to me, it kind of traces the arc of my entire professional life.
0:58.1	You know, it's kind of interesting.
0:59.8	I was just kid at a school.
1:02.9	And then, you know, within a few months of being in DC,
1:06.9	like the drumbeat to war started.
1:08.8	And so it's a very cute memory for me.
