Hi, Jess. Hey, Kate. What are we talking about today? Let's talk about therapy. I feel like you have some thoughts on the matter.

0:36.0

Yeah. I mean, when did you start going to therapy? That's a great question. I don't, I would say... Like, is Nancy your first therapist?

0:43.2

No, no, no, no. I went to therapy when I was about 17 for the first time after I had self-harmed, and then I kept with her for a while. I really liked her. And then I stopped seeing

her, and let's see. And then I went to, like, couples therapy, two different therapists with one of my

exes. I don't really even know how it turned out to two different therapists. But anyway,

and then, so I hadn't gone solo since I was a teenager. And then I started going again,

1:15.3

I think I started seeing Nance about a year and a half ago,

1:21.7

roughly. Yeah. Yeah. And when I first started going, I was going once a week. And now I'm finally at once every other week. Okay. Yeah. Byweekly. Yeah. How often do you go? I'm still in the weekly program

1:40.7

was like, what is this even doing for me? Like, who is this person? You know,

1:46.0

like, what does she know? And then I think I saw people on and off through college. Like,

1:51.1

I went to FIT. They had like a therapist on staff. I think I maybe went once, like never anything

1:55.4

consistent until I had gotten arrested. And then I was like, holy shit, like my life is blowing up.

2:00.2

And I was living in the suburbs at the time life is blowing up. And I was living in

2:01.7

the suburbs at the time dating my ex. And so I found a therapist and I started seeing her. And she

2:06.8

really was like a game changer for me. She's the one that told me that I had a drinking problem

2:11.7

that I had like was inconceivable to me. And I saw her for a while until I moved out of the

2:17.2

suburbs. And then I couldn't really

2:18.4

find another person that I connected with until you told me about Nance. Yeah, I feel like it's

2:23.7

really hard sometimes. Not only just finding one that you like vibe with, but just the whole
