It has an IMDb rating of 7.3 out of 10 and a rotten tomato was rating of 89% so pretty good stuff.

Synopsis. I know, right? And I also want to argue with the synopsis in that it keeps saying the family discover, no, the mother discovers the rest of the family thinks she's fucking mental.

Yeah, which I guess is where they get the hereditary from because I guess that's what's quite clever about this film is that it sort of leeged down that line of thinking that maybe what you're seeing is to do with a mother's mental illness,

which is what you say for all of our stories.

You can find out quite early on that the mom's brother had schizophrenia, the mom had dissociative identity disorder and the dad had psychosis.

Yeah. So obviously it kind of seems natural to the audience that she would be displaying signs of mental illness as well.

And she is absolutely mental during it.

She's mad and it's a Tony colletti place and she is stunning. She has such a brilliant horror film face.
