Summary

EPISODE 25: 20 LIFE LESSONS FROM 2025: Wine, Dogs, And the State of Play. Dying Laughing with Jessimae In Episode 25 of Dying Laughing, Jessimae reflects on the lessons of 2025 through a mix of pop culture moments and personal growth. She touches on everything from Katy Perry going to outer space and the film Sinners dominating the box office to Erika Kirk’s weird "grief centered" world tour. From there, the episode dives into the lessons the year delivered including letting go, taking responsibility for healing, the grounding power of dogs, loss as a deeper understanding of love, self care as a non negotiable, manifestation as real life magic, wine as therapy, and why play remains the true home of joy. This episode is reflective, funny, and grounding and offers a reminder that growth often comes from both chaos and connection. 💀 Subscribe, rate, and tag your griefiest friend. 🖤 Follow @JessimaePeluso for more. 🎁 Listener Prompt: What’s your weirdest grief coping mechanism? Not without sharing some of the crazier things that happened. Remember when Katie Perry went to

0:15.9

outer space and clearly was on psilocybin and shrooms? That looked fun. Also, one of the greatest movies,

0:22.4

breakout blockbuster, record smashing The Sinners. I think that's what it's called,

0:27.7

The Sinners or Sinners. You've got to check it out. It's so good. And, last we forget,

0:31.6

also, that really strange, quote unquote, grief world tour that Erica Kirk was on. We can't not talk about it.

0:38.3

All those headlines are in this. Everything felt surreal and even the personal moments felt

0:42.6

incredibly real. And then I started to think about what 2025 actually taught me. The year

0:48.3

handed me a lot of lessons, some gentle, some not so gentle, some more loss and learning that the more you let go, the more you flow.

Your healing is your responsibility.

1:00.1

And that dogs really truly do make life better.

1:04.2

And loss is not just pain, but it's also an invitation to a deeper understanding of love.

1:09.5

I also learn that self-care is not optional

1:12.1

and that manifestation is real.

1:14.7

Hello, we had Stamos back for round two.

1:17.7

I also learned that wine is therapy.

1:20.2

This and more, because this episode is a reflection,

1:23.2

not a highlight real, not a manifesto,

1:25.8

just an honest look at what stuck, what softened us,

1:29.1

what changed us, and what we should carry with us as we keep going. So if you have been

feeling reflective or tired or hopeful or all of that at once, this one's for you. Let's get
