Yeah, this one is great.

It's such a wonderful picture of LA in terms of true crime and mystery and grotescity is that a word

grotesqueity no sounds like grotesqueness. Yeah, because it is, it's this non-descript hotel.

And I want to like paint the picture a little bit too before we start in that this hotel is kind of on the

cusp of downtown and MacArthur Park.

So it's in this strange, like kind of close to USC no man's land of shit hotels that people stay in because they're doing God knows what kind of a thing.

Kind of a place and historically I think this is accurate, you guys don't care. It's a sort of place where there was a lot of sprawl after like right

before the car kind of took LA and spread it out a bit they were all these

hotels in different properties created around downtown because people thought they had to live really close to downtown to be in the finance district and to develop LA like that and then of course the car made that all change, and it became a much more distinct part of a giant city versus just being the epicenter of a city.
