Hello, everybody! Welcome back to a brand new episode of The Bad Broadcast.

My name is Maddie. So happy that you're here.

Are we okay after last week's episode? I don't know if I've ever gotten so many messages

from people being like, this episode was way too triggering to listen to.

Pretty sure none of us realized how affected we were by our best friend breakups until we relived

them last week. So I'm sorry about that. I'm sorry for anybody who found that really hard to

listen to. I hope that at the very least you felt like you weren't alone because you really

aren't. Best friend breakups are very common and very, very hard. So this week will be a little

bit more upbeat. We won't be rehashing any trauma. Well, none of your trauma. Just mine,

just mine this week. But we are celebrating two years of the podcast this week. I cannot believe

that. I cannot believe that I have been doing this for two years. I'm a month late. So the two-year

mark was actually June 7th. That was the June 7th, 2020 was the first episode date. And here we are

two years later. I never thought that I would make it two years. I really didn't like, I know I've

told you guys the origin story of the bad broadcast a ton. But for those that don't know, I started it

in the middle of COVID, quarantine, whatever. And I just would think to myself like, I'm just

going to do one. And then we'll see what people think. And then if they like it, I'll do one

the next week. And you guys just propelled me through and you guys kept listening, kept sharing.

And then dear media came into the picture last year around this time. So like May of 2021 was when

I got signed to dear media. And that was a major, major game changer. I mean, that was when this
