How firm a foundation, ye saints of the Lord is laid for your faith in his excellent word.

What would you say to those that you love if you knew that they would be the last words you shared with them.

Welcome to through the Bible, I'm Steve Schwartz, and in just a minute we're going to begin a very

meaningful study of 2 Timothy with our teacher Dr. J. Vernon McKee.

Now as you know, one of Paul's sons in the faith was a young

pastor named Timothy and as Paul waited in prison to be executed he wrote

Timothy words of warning as well as encouragement and as always pointed him to Jesus

Christ. You know Dr. McGee aptly calls the section of scripture Paul's

swan song and as he'll describe it has a note of sadness that you won't find in any of Paul's other letters.

So stay tuned for this important message and then Paul's own epitaph in Chapter 4 versus 6 through 8.

But before we head off to this rather somber portion of

scripture I've invited Greg Harris through the Bible's president to join us to

talk about what's new at through the Bible and there's always something.

There is and I am always something. There is.

And I am laughing in a good way because it's fun and it's exciting and as we always emphasize because
