Calvary Church is dedicated to doctrine, and we want you to experience the life change that comes from knowing God's word and applying it to your life.

So we explain the Bible first by verse, every chapter, every book. This is expound.

You're my favorite group, you know.

But don't tell everybody, they might get mad that I said that.

We are in the book of Second Thessalonians in your New Testament, so let's turn there tonight.

If you are new to Wednesday nights, This is very simply a Bible study,

verse by verse, chapter by chapter, through the scriptures.

We do an alternating Old Testament,

the New Testament book and work our way through.

And we have made good headway

because if you look at where we are already in the New Testament, we're doing

great.

Let's have a word of prayer.

Father, you alone know the particulars of what we have been through this week.

What is troubling us, concerning us, exciting us,

what things we are cautious about, worried about, wondering about.

You know the things that keep us up at night. You are our hope, you are our rest,

you are our source. We are simply asking that your Holy Spirit would take this ancient but inspired letter and use it.

Use it as we gather, use it as we listen, use it in the days ahead, to make us excited about eternal things, and to become less enamored with temporary

things.

We invite your spirit to be our teacher.

And we pray these things in Jesus' name. Amen.
