Welcome to Searchlight. A survey through scripture with Pastor John Corson. It is our desire to bring you a

systematic study of the entire Bible chapter by chapter book by book. In our study through Second Samuel, we are coming across an array of diverse characters.

Our main character is David. He is a man who has many flaws but

overriding all of this is his passion for the Lord. In our current study in Chapter 3 we also see two opposing generals, Abner and Joab.

They are both a bit peculiar, somewhat loyal, but not always.

Wise but impulsive. Serv selfish as we join the study

today Abner has just effected from Isbosheath to David but this doesn't set real well with Joab as we shall see.

Let's now join John as we look at these two guys and learn important lessons from

their lives. So here's Joe Abner now.
