Sarah Buzzard has been sitting in a jail cell in Mercer County, Ohio,

for four months. She was arrested in September, 2021, along with her wife, Naira Whitaker.

A woman Sarah had loved, married, and by her own admission helped commit murder. Ryan Zimmerman was 23 years old

when he was killed in a second floor hallway of a Columbus apartment building. His body was dismembered,

his remains were scattered across multiple states, and for nearly six years, no one outside of that apartment knew what had happened

to him. But now, investigators do, because Sarah has already told them. In the weeks following

her arrest, Sarah Buzzard confessed in full. She named Naira as the architect. She described the attack, the tools,

the roads they drove at three in the morning, the bags they threw into dumpsters along the interstate.

Her attorneys, Randy Lamar and Eric Wilson, had been briefed. A plea agreement was already in negotiation. So why is

Sarah here again? Because the investigators aren't finished. There are gaps to close, a timeline

to tighten and details about Naira Whitaker that still don't quite add up. Naira, who took her own life on the day of the arrest, can no longer speak for herself.

Sarah is the only person who knows what happened inside the apartment.

Today, Sarah has waived her right to have her attorneys present.

She's agreed to sit down one more time, voluntarily, openly, and go back to the beginning.

What follows is that conversation, nearly two and a half hours of Sarah Buzzard, in her own words, walking investigators through the death of Ryan Zimmerman.
