Nephi is done and yet he isn't done right

chapter 31 ends with the Amen but then there's a a koda there's a final echo there's

still two more chapters here.

And I always get the sense in 32, the way he begins it,

that Nephi almost laments the fact that he has to keep going here. I really did drop the mic for a reason.

I gave the Amen because I was done. How do you beat the grand finale of This is the way? There's no other way. This is the name. Follow Jesus.

You got the doctrine and that'll help you for the rest of your journey, your hand in hand with him. So if this was Nephi General Conference, I really do

picture the Prophet Nephi ending his final discourse on the Saturday Sunday afternoon session.

It's done, we know that, okay?

He's given the final amen,

and then he walks away from the stand,

the podium starts to descend, you hear the organ start to play the music for the

final concluding hymn from the Tabernacle Choir. After that we're going to

have the closing prayer and we're done. Okay, it's over.

And yet it's as if Nephi looks out

as he's gotten back into his big red chair,

and he looks out across the conference center

as the lights start to come back up.

And he sees all the gathered Saints staring at him with a look of confusion slash concern

on their eyes with their hands like cocked and half raised like they have a question.

And the Nephi is looking like, what? No, I'm done we're we're finished I told you everything you need to know
