Of course, no problem.

Well, I mean, after two days, I would say of there were months of hopelessness in that

everybody was predicting we would miss half a season, a full season.

We were pretty much kind of resigned.

At least I was resigned to it.

And then two days of whispers basically started by Ken Berger of CBS, just that a deal here

wouldn't be completely impossible.

Do you think that the last two days we had was a bit of a mirage, would you say?

It's hard to say because I know so many of the NBA writers that I spent hours with them

and a lot of these fake outs.

They just maintain a level of optimism because common sense seems to point towards a deal

as compared to losing even two weeks of the season, as you look at the numbers, you're

already losing more than the difference in the deal you should be making.

So I think they were coming from a common sense standpoint and sort of applying that to

what they assumed would be common sense in these negotiations.

But if you just look back at all the rhetoric for the last two years, in essence, it seemed

too much to overcome.

Both sides just want to win more than they want to compromise.
