0:06.7	In today's episode, there's going to be a very quick, quick tip Tuesday about two huge
0:11.1	new changes coming to Instagram.
0:13.2	And really, one is a change and one is more of a clarification, if you will, or a new
0:19.4	insight directly from the head of Instagram.
0:22.6	Let's start with that one.
0:24.0	Adam Mausrie, the CEO of Instagram, made an announcement recently, breaking down how
0:28.6	the search function works on Instagram.
0:31.6	He was talking about what things are and are not searchable.
0:34.9	Some of the things that he mentioned that are searchable and aren't searchable were
0:38.5	expected and things that were already widely known, such as keywords that you put in
0:43.4	your bio.
0:44.4	Those are searchable.
0:45.4	Your username, of course, that's searchable.
0:47.8	Your caption, of course, the words you put in your caption makes your posts searchable.
0:52.9	But the big takeaway, the big new insight from his presentation was that hashtags are
0:58.7	only searchable if they're put in your caption.
1:02.6	Now, what does that mean?
1:04.6	That means that if you put your hashtags in your comments, you can't search for and find
1:09.5	the post via the hashtags.
1:12.7	That means that you're still likely going to get the same amount of reach.
1:16.0	You're still likely going to see the same amount of people interacting with your posts.
