5 tonight. So I hope you understand that we have one more chapter in Second Chronicles,

Lord willing next week, 2nd Chronicles chapter 36, and then we're completely done with Chronicles.

And then we're going to start in our study through the book of Ezra. And then after Ezra,

Nehemiah, then Esther, I mean, we're talking about some phenomenal studies in these books.

Nehemiah, Esther, and then wait till we, if we're still here, until we get to Job.

Okay.

So we're all going to be going through trials by the time we get through Ezra, Nehemiah, and Esther, and then when we get to Job, we'll be there for a while.

It's kind of a long book, a very fascinating and interesting and even powerful book.

So why don't we pray?

We'll ask God's blessing on our time together in His Word, if you would join with me.

Loving Heavenly Father, will you at this time, by the Holy Spirit, just enable us to settle our hearts and focus our attention upon you and your

word and that which you have for us here in your word tonight. Lord, we need for you as well

to remove all of the distractions and all of the busyness of our lives, all of those things that will

seek to capture the attention of our minds and even become a distraction in so doing.

Lord, we want to give you our undivided attention.

That's why we're here tonight. We desire for

you, Lord, to speak into our lives in and through your word. And when you do, Lord, bless and

encourage and minister, we pray in Jesus' name. Amen. All right, let jump in, verse one. Now, Josiah kept a Passover to the Lord

in Jerusalem, and they slaughtered the Passover lambs on the 14th day of the first month, and he, speaking

of Josiah, verse 2, set the priests in their duties, and

interesting, encourage them for the service of the house of the Lord.

So the chapter begins with Josiah continuing to bring reform to Israel, much needed reform, I might add,
