And so tonight, in our trek through Second Chronicles, chapter by chapter, verse by verse,

we're going to do chapter 27 tonight, only one chapter.

And I think you'll maybe see why here shortly.

I suppose I should probably begin with an apology.

I have a pretty bad cold. And so my son Levi loves to share. And so he shared his cold with me. And so I have forgiven him. I was going to lay hands on him, but I decided not to.

So please forgive me for being rude.

And I'll try to get through it without too much blowing up my nose.

Father in heaven, thank you so much for your word and for this study that we have on Thursday nights.

Lord, we look forward to our time together in your word. This is that night of the week that we can set

aside and put aside really all the cares and the affairs of the week, the busyness of our lives,

and focus our attention on you and your word and that which you have for us.

Lord, would you speak to us tonight and minister to us tonight in this chapter that we have before us?

Lord, thank you.
