Pete has been buried in Kobe videos and such, and we'll be back next week. So we'll do a full

Kobe pod once we get Pete back. But, Darius, I was fortunate to be essentially right next to the

statue before it was revealed off to the corner, which was my spot for interviewing any and every

Laker legend that we could get for the pregame show and for the statue ceremony show. And it was

quite a scene in there. You were watching and listening from afar.

And I imagine had some of the same feelings that I had being there in the building.

What stood out the most to you for this kind of culmination and this day of mixed emotions

and a lot of us trying to focus on

celebration and trying to push some of the sad emotional feelings that were going to be there

aside or at least have them meld together in what was really a special day in honoring Kobe.

Man, it looked like a great ceremony. I saw the little interview that you did with Jamal Wilkes. It was great to see Silk there and all of the other Lakers legends that were there. I actually thought that Jamal put it very well just in terms of the connection that everyone still has to the Lakers family and one of the few who has

their jersey retired and that ongoing fandom that exists even within the league of
