This week on the show, the final book of The Stand, aptly titled The Stand, begins as we

discuss chapters 61 through 66. We catch up with all of our Boulder Free Zone spies who die. I'll accept Tom, of course,

who escapes the clutches of Randall Flag. Also, Harold gets what's coming to him. Nandine

finally meets her man. And Lloyd gets nervous. Matt, what did you think of this week's reading?

Well, as we're going to get into pretty shortly this is a really

big tone shift especially after having spent the majority you know almost the entirety of the last

several weeks with the bolder free zone folks just just a great sense of you know evil and darkness

and dread as we spend time with a lot of these you know more dark aligned characters and it's

in my

opinion, a surprising amount of time in Randall Flag's head, considering it has been treated

as this sort of distant other, you know, this, this evil eye in the darkness. I was actually

surprised how much, you know, time we spend with him. So yeah, overall, had a really fun time. Can't wait to talk

about it. Yeah, it's crazy how fast things are moving now, too. You know, like, there's, as I read

in that summary, there's a lot of different characters we see this week. There's a lot of things

happening. And I actually was looking at our schedule for the rest of the book. And technically,

the climax of our story is next week.

And then the show after next week's is the day new mall. And then we're done with the book.
