0:21.7	will start today just moments ago an appeal appeals court

0:26.0	has ruled that Donald Trump is not immune
0:29.6	in his 2020 election interference case, so much writing on this claim from the
0:35.3	failed former president that the facts and the elements do not matter. All that
0:41.2	matters is that as the former president, he was immune at the time
0:46.0	no matter what he did. This is the immunity argument. I have absolute and total
0:50.5	immunity or whatever he liked to say and a court has said no.
0:54.7	NBC News reporting a federal appeals court on Tuesday rejected Donald
1:01.0	Trump's broad claim and it was broad that he is immune from
1:05.9	prosecution for alleged criminal acts he committed as president in trying to
1:10.7	overturn the 2020 election in a chain of events that led to the January 6th
1:16.5	attack on the capital. Trump will almost certainly immediately appeal to the Supreme Court
1:22.4	in a bid to prevent the trial from
1:24.3	going ahead as scheduled in March. The Supreme Court could make a quick decision on
1:28.7	whether to hear the case and could fast- track any ruling.
1:33.2	The three judge panel of the US Circuit Court of Appeals for DC
1:37.2	ruled there was no basis for Trump to assert
1:40.4	that former presidents have blanket immunity from prosecution for any
