Oh, it's going pretty well, just sitting here listening to the radio, listening to all this

horrible shit happening out

there in the small town that I live in.

The small Wisconsin town where nothing bad happens except everything.

That's right, because this week on the show, we are officially beginning our coverage

of Stephen King and Peter Straub's follow-up novel to the talisman.

We're doing Black House, Matt. We're here. It's the first episode. It's a new book episode.

It's a new month. It's very exciting. It is. It's always exciting to start a new book.

Today on the show, we'll be covering the first two chapters of Black House, the first 50 pages or so.

And, oh, it's going to be a big, a big old stuffed episode, Matt, because there's a lot to talk about in these measly 50 pages.

That's true. That's true. We're acclimating ourselves to a really rather different environment than what I expected to be.

Yeah, we'll talk all about that for sure. But that's one of the things I was most curious about

going into this book with you is the jolt from one book to another. But before we get into that,

we do have a couple quick announcements. First of all, I just wanted to say thank you to everyone.

And when I say everyone, I mean everyone who sent in all your suggestions for what books we should cover if we do with season three.

I'm still saying if there.

I think, you know, it was funny because like I had in my head a pretty good idea of what books I would want to do.
