This week on the show, we continue our coverage of Stephen King and Peter Straub's The Talisman

with chapter 37, sorry, that's last week, chapter 41 through 44 of the book.

Our characters enter the Black Hotel,

retrieve the talisman, and rejoice. But the end is not quite here yet. That's right. It's

not quite, it's, it feels like the climax. It feels like we're done. We even got a little bit

of emotional resolution resolution except it's

not quite done yet because the chapter ends with slowed running off to to to do some probably

just kill everyone yeah that's probably what's going to kill all of our heroes yeah um but yeah it was

great is super awesome can't wait to talk about it so what what's, yeah, what your overall thoughts? I mean, like, I think it is the climax, but it's not the climax. You're right. So as a climax, what did you think?

Very intense. I found that, like, I had to slow down because, like, things were happening so fast. I had to slow down because like things were happening so fast.

I had to slow down and like like go into a like dark room and lie down and listen to the

reading instead of like because I often do other things while I'm reading and I don't

I don't particularly feel that it impacts my um absorption of of the words but when it's this intense

and fast and like complicated I I do you know have to make myself pay full attention to it which I did

this week good yeah I mean I agree with you I you know oddly enough I did not remember a lot of this week. Good. Yeah. I mean, I agree with you.
