You heard that news report about the Dodgers building two new baseball fields in Altadena under the the Dodgers Foundation, L-A-D-F, Los Angeles Dodgers Foundation.

It's been around for about 30 years, but I think about 10 or 20 years ago, they sort of

reinvigorated it.

They do a phenomenal job.

I've covered many programs and stories with them over the years for Fox 11, supporting

young people in particular, granting monies, donating monies, building fields. So they're also all

wrapped up in the relief effort, the overall fire relief effort. You can get more information

on that. If you just want to go to the Dodgers website, check that out. Very worthy cause to donate to. So back in the day, it seems

so long ago, but it really wasn't. December 12th, 2022, December 12th, 2022, I was in downtown Los Angeles at the Emergency Operations Center

for Mayor Karen Bass's first day on the job, signing a state of emergency on homelessness.

The quote, this is a crisis that we know is going to be ongoing and it requires

us to have sustained focus and effort. A crisis that's going to be ongoing, sustained focus and
