I doubt it was controversial at all.

Ban all insurance plans in the state from covering abortion unless the woman's life is in danger.

That does not include exceptions for rape or incest by the way.

No exceptions.

So no insurance coverage, they'd have to pay it out of their own pocket and you'd have to buy

special abortion riders on top of their pre-existing insurance.
