Just so we all know the deal going into tonight's Four Nations Championship between Team 2, Team USA and Canada.

If the game goes to overtime, because I was very curious about this, because I don't know the rules, this is a whole made-up event.

I don't know what the hell happens? Do they go to a shootout? Don't they do that in the Olympics? They go to a shootout?

After overtime, I think so. Well, not here. Or they just go straight to a shootout.

I thought they go. I don't even know. I forget now. For some reason, I think they go to a shootout.

I could be wrong, but this isn't the Olympics. This is four nations. If overtime is needed,

there will be a same as Stanley Cup playoff rule, five on five with 20 minute periods until we declare a winner. Well, that makes sense because

it's an NHL event, not a international event. Well, you're right, but if they're following international

rules, they always could have had a shootout. Luckily, they don't, because as much as you've given

the unpopular opinion that shootout should occur in the NHL playoffs, most sane people think

it's a horrible idea.

So if we're going to have a true champion,

you got to do it, man.

You got to play it like the NHL.

There must be a winner.

But this is where I'm again annoyed.

If you get a classic tonight, three overtime, four overtime, some of the stuff that we've seen in the playoffs, the prevailing opinion we always have in those

games is, boy, you better win this because you're going to be dead tired, you know, the next game,

anything goes. These guys are playing games that count 48 hours.

Give Adam Fox a maintenance day. No big deal. See what I mean? Aren't you playing Buffalo next or something?
