This one I found odd.

Studying at 26 individuals who stayed at the Rothera Research Station in Antarctica

for six months.

That seems to be the conclusion, at least from what I've read.

They took 11 people and they had them pronounce words like food, code, flow, hid

and they did it every few weeks

for about six months.

And then they noticed...

It's a United Nations of people down there

basically, right? Yes. Yeah. Multinational

conglomeration.

The study revealed, this is what you mentioned, Bush.

Convergence participants' accents grew more similar to each other over time.

In one case, a German participant began to sound strikingly more like her British colleagues.

Another participant who arrived with a strong Welsh inflected English, left Antarctica

sounding closer to a Liverpool accent. I don't know the difference, but I'm sure. Liverpool

was the Beatles. Yeah, an Englander can spot the difference. It was subtle. You can hear the changes
