Fast-moving air has a lower pressure that's static air.

Think about wind-causing sucking in your house, you know, like doors will slam shut.

Oh, I usually have to be sucking in the house.

Basically, air is evacuating a space and the other air rushes in to fill that void as the wing cuts through the air.

The shape of the airfoil causes the air speed to be higher on the top of the wing versus the bottom.

The difference in speed creates a difference in pressure and the wing is sucked up, i.e. lift.

Okay. I get the lift part, but he's still listening.
