Yes, actually, but not to help me sleep.

This week on the show, we begin a brand new novel, Insomnia.

We meet on this week's reading, Ralph Roberts, the 70-year-old dairy resident and protagonist

of this book who loses his wife to a brain tumor and then shortly after begins to suffer

from a little thing called insomnia.

Matt, what did you think of the beginning of our second book of the season?

It was very fun.

You know, not what I was expecting.

Based on what we talked about last time, what I was expecting was pure madness.

So I'm definitely into this story.

I think we'll have a lot to say about the interesting ways in which King hooks us and,

you know, gets our investment, gets our attention.

Even though this is not sort of what I think of as kind of a typical Stephen King story.

Maybe it is.

Again, I haven't read that many of them.

But it's unique.

I think it's unique and I think we're going to have a lot of fun talking about it.
